Microphone and speaker rental for meetings, ceremonies and events

Wireless handheld and lapel microphones, lectern and choir mics, and the speakers to go with them, set up and checked before anyone steps up to speak.

The right microphone for every speaker

  • Wireless handheld for presenters, emcees, toasts and audience questions
  • Wireless lapel (clip-on) for hands-free speaking: presenters using slides, officiants, and anyone who walks while talking
  • Lectern microphone for a podium at meetings, ceremonies and press conferences
  • Choir microphones: four condenser mics on stands for choirs and vocal groups
  • Vocal, drum and instrument microphones for bands and performers with the Live Band package
  • Wireless in-ear monitors so up to 5 singers and musicians each hear their own mix ($50 per performer, with the Live Band package)

Microphones come with speakers

A microphone needs a sound system to be heard, so our microphones are rented as part of a sound package. Two wireless microphones come with the Clubhouse and Outdoor packages, and four with the Ballroom and Live Band packages. If you need more, ask and we'll add them to your quote.

If your venue already has its own sound system, ask us. We can sometimes add our wireless microphones to it after checking the connections with the venue.

No squeals, no dropouts

Feedback and dropouts are the most common microphone problems at events, and both are avoidable. We set wireless frequencies at your venue so they don't clash with other equipment, put fresh batteries in every transmitter, and test each microphone from the spot where it will be used. Speakers are placed so microphones aren't pointed into them.

Panels, Q&A and town halls

When the audience asks questions, an audience microphone means everyone in the room can hear the question, not just the people near the person asking. It also means the question is clear on any recording or live stream. For public meetings and community forums, see Towns, Cities and Counties.

Common questions

If you don't see your question here, call us at (352) 571-2988.

Handheld or lapel: which should I choose?

Handheld microphones are the easiest to use and the most forgiving: the speaker just holds it near their mouth. Lapel microphones free up both hands but need to be clipped on carefully and work best for one experienced speaker. For toasts, emcees and Q&A, choose handheld. For a presenter using slides or an officiant, lapel is often better.

Can I rent just a microphone?

Our microphones are rented with a sound package so there are speakers to go with them. If your venue has its own system, call us and we'll see whether our microphones can connect to it.

Do you bring batteries?

Yes. Every wireless microphone gets fresh batteries for your event, and we bring spares.

How many microphones do I need for a panel?

One per panelist is best, plus a moderator microphone and one for audience questions. Sharing one microphone between two panelists works but slows the conversation.
